Food Distribution

During 2023-2024 we received boxes of non-perishable food several times during the school year.  Each time we distributed these boxes of food to the families who had students enrolled in our Students First Program.

Christmas Dinner Baskets

2020: 7 families, 36 individuals

2021: 6 families, 33 individuals

2022: 23 families, 119 individuals

2023: 17 families, 72 individuals

 

 

Flood Victims

We also provided clothing to 7 individuals who were impacted by  flooding during May 2024.

Back-To-School Supply Drive

2021: filled 55 backpacks; other supplies distributed to HISD campuses; 9 students were given backpacks filled with supplies

2022: distributed 9,638 donated items to the Hardin ISD Campuses. We received supplies in memory of Mrs. Donna Rushing and we also received anonymous donations totaling $1,500 to be used to enhance and reward Hardin ISD Teachers through the Teachers Incentive Fund. We are sponsoring a second semester supply drive in January 2023 for the top three items needed most by HISD Teachers/Nurses.

The House of Destiny

We donated all items left over from our 2021 annual fundraiser yard sale to The House of Destiny, a 501(c)(3) organization. In 2022, we donated some of the items.

Mt. Calvery Baptist Church-Marysee

We donated items left over from our 2022 annual fundraiser yard sale to Mt. Calvery Baptist Church - Marysee to aide them during their annual giveaway before school starts.

Meals on Wheels and CASA of Liberty

During our 2021 Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, we received a huge donation of slippers for both adults and children from Amy Webb, a local AVON consultant. We in turn gave the adult slippers to the clients of Meals on Wheels of South Liberty County and we gave the children slippers to CASA of Liberty County.

Impact on Local Businesses

Since 2021, We offer a way for local businesses, clubs, organizations and churches to showcase who they are, what they have to offer, and where they are located by providing them with a free 10x10 booth during our Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting ceremony.

Amory, Mississippi Tornado Victims

In April 2023, We coordinated efforts with Love Without Walls, non-profit organization and in July 2023 we delivered 20+ totes full of clothes and shoes to the tornado victims in Amory Mississippi.
